Steve Callas founded the firm in 1990, after having worked in business management for ten years, including six years at Breslauer Jacobson & Rutman. Mr. Callas earned a bachelor’s degree from Cal State Fullerton (1976), and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (1980). Professional associations include the American Institute of CPA’s and the California Society of CPA’s.
Layth Carlson joined the firm in 1993 and became a partner in 1999. Prior to this, Mr. Carlson worked at City National Bank in the Entertainment Department for five years. Mr. Carlson earned a bachelor’s degree (1985) as well as an MBA (1987), both from Loyola Marymount University. Mr. Carlson is enrolled to practice by the Internal Revenue Service (1997), and professional associations include the National Society of Enrolled Agents and the California Society of Enrolled Agents.
